Keep the time and disruption apart from the rate
Money for doing extra work and money for the extra work taking longer travel on different clauses and prove in different ways. Bury the disruption inside an inflated rate and you lose both: the rate looks high and gets cut, and the time claim was never made. Show the direct value against the contract's valuation rules, and flag any time or disruption consequence as its own separate head.
