AI Introduction Session

Fixed FeeFor Subcontractors, Main Contractors & Clients2 working days

A session at your office or on a call that shows your team what today's AI tools actually are and what they can do, demonstrated live on the systems I run my own practice on, with use cases picked for businesses like yours. No slides about the future of AI. Real tools, real records, real construction work, and by the end your team can name which of it belongs in your business.

The problem

Most commercial teams have heard plenty about AI and seen almost none of it working on their kind of work. So it stays abstract: half the team quietly uses a chatbot for emails, half distrusts the whole subject, and nobody can say what it would actually do for applications, notices, records or month-end. You cannot decide about something you have never seen working, and the vendors queueing up to show you have something to sell you. I do not; I sell no software and take no commission from anybody.

The solution

A structured session, at your office or remote, built around live demonstration rather than presentation. I show the small set of established tools that matter (the likes of Claude, Obsidian and Microsoft 365, the same platforms my own practice runs on), what each is genuinely capable of, and then the part that lands: use cases chosen for your role and trade, the same shapes I would recommend to a business like yours, demonstrated on my own working systems. Ask the contract a question and watch it answer with the clause. Watch a voice note become a filed site diary entry. Your team asks anything they like, including whether any of it is worth their time. What you get afterwards is a short written summary of the use cases that fit your business, with plain-English guides to the tools shown, so the session survives the week it happened in. Fee fixed in writing when the session is booked, and credited against a Pain Point Consultation or a systems set-up commissioned within a stated period. Each fee is credited once, against the next step you take.

What you receive

The Handover Pack accompanies the work with its dates and sources, likely outcomes and responses, scope boundaries and ready-to-send correspondence where needed.

Turnaround: two working days from the end of the session.

How it works

  1. You book the session and tell me who is in the room

Roles, trades, and roughly what your team runs today. That is all the preparation you do.

    • A

The booking confirmed in writing: date, start time, length, and office or remote

      Essential

Without it: There is no session: no date to rehearse for, no format to build the run sheet around, and nothing for the summary deadline to count from.

Where to find it: Your own diary, confirmed by reply to the booking email.

Why I need it: Fixes the date the whole commission is worked back from, the format the demonstrations are rehearsed for, and the point the two-working-day summary clock starts from

    • B

      Who is in the room

      Important

Without it: The demonstrations get picked for your line of work in general, not the room actually in front of them.

Where to find it: Whoever runs the team can write it in minutes; no documents needed.

Why I need it: Selects the demonstration set

    • C

      Current systems picture

      Optional

Without it: The "what this would look like for you" half of the session stays generic instead of built around your systems.

Where to find it: Whoever pays the subscriptions can list them in minutes.

Why I need it: Grounds the "what this would look like for you" half

Copies are fine. Send what you have and I'll tell you what's missing. Download the client request PDF or editable Word version to pass to whoever holds the files.

  2. I build the session for that room

The tools worth your time, and use cases picked for your demographic from the systems I already run.

    Rehearsed before shown

Every demonstration is rehearsed end to end on the practice's own data before the session, so nothing is shown in the room that cannot be run live.

  3. I take the session with you

Live demonstrations throughout, questions whenever they come. Nothing is recorded without agreement and nothing of yours is needed on screen.

  4. I send the written summary within two working days

The use cases that fit your business, the tools behind each, and the honest note on what I would not bother with at your size.

  5. You decide what happens next, if anything

The natural next step for a use case that stuck is a Pain Point Consultation, and this session's fee is credited against it. Each fee is credited once, against the next step you take.

This is the start of the ladder, deliberately: see what exists, then name your pain (Pain Point Consultation), then fix it (the set-up services). You will not be sold software at any step, because I do not sell any. If the session convinces you that none of this is for your business yet, that is a fine outcome and cheaper than finding out any other way. The systems the session demonstrates are my own: the Second Brain page shows them working, and the Build Menu catalogues what a set-up can build. The set-up services themselves are the Project Systems Set-up for one job and the Business Systems Set-up for the whole business.
