Cold review the figures before they go out

Whoever built a valuation cannot review it; they see their intentions, not their pages. Give the figures to someone with no stake in them, a colleague from another file or an outside reviewer, with one instruction: attack it like the other side will. An hour of cold reading before submission is worth a week of repair after the response lands.
