We need to stress-test our own quantum before they do
Nobody has gone through it looking for the soft spots.
What's happening?
The claim is built, the team believes in it, and the deadline is close. The difficulty is that everyone who could review it also built it, and authors cannot see their own soft spots. As things stand, the first genuinely cold read your number gets will be the other side's, and they will publish what they find.
The soft spots are predictable, which is why a checklist finds them: arithmetic that does not cross-cast, rates that cannot name their source, the head resting on records you hope nobody asks for, the same cost recoverable under two headings. Every one of those found by the other side costs more than the item itself, because each concession extracted in week one prices the credibility of everything that remains.
Found by your own cold review, the same items become choices: evidence them properly, restate them defensibly, or concede them on your own terms in the covering narrative. A claim that has been through that pass shrinks far less on contact, because the shrinkage already happened in private.
The solution
The cold review yours gets before theirs does.
If you would rather it were done for you, Independent Quantum Review is the service that does it.
