Track what is owed to you as hard as what you must hold

It is easy to remember your own renewals and easy to forget the cover others owe you: the subcontractor's insurance, the warranty to you, the bond in your favour. Cover owed to you and never delivered leaves you exposed as if you had let your own lapse. List both directions in the register, and chase the inbound items while the other party still has a live reason to provide them.
