No one list holds the deadlines

Every contract carries its own dates and they live in different heads.

01The month's dates
02The application out
03The certificate in
04Subcontractors assessed
05The notices served
06Retention release
You are here: The month is running and the dates live in different heads.

What's happening?

Every contract writes its own calendar: application dates, due dates, notice windows in both directions, retention triggers, and amended forms move all of them, so no two jobs run to quite the same month. Spread that across a handful of live contracts and the diary that actually runs your payment cycle is a set of memories, and memories miss.

Each miss is quiet money: an application that skips a cycle, a notice window that closes unanswered and turns into a notified sum, a release date nobody asked about. The fix is almost embarrassingly simple, which is why it never quite happens from inside: every date mapped from the signed contracts rather than the standard form, held on one tracked list, owned by someone whose job is to see them coming.

The solution

Every contract's dates mapped, tracked and owned.
