Contract Review Checklist
Read it before you sign it, in a fixed order.
The clauses to find and question in any construction contract, worked through before you sign. It walks the terms in a fixed order so nothing gets skipped: payment mechanism, notice requirements, time bars, the deadlines that can restrict a claim if missed, design responsibility, variations, retention, set-off and termination, with space against each for what the contract says and what you want changed.
What you get

How it works
One pass, every clause family
The checklist runs the same route through every contract, so a review done on a Tuesday under pressure covers the same ground as one done with a clear week. Each item names the clause family to find, the questions to ask of it, and the common amendments that shift risk onto you.
A record you can act on
Against each item you note what the contract says, whether it is acceptable, and what to raise. By the end you hold a marked-up list of the terms to negotiate, which feeds straight into the Negotiation Matrix.
An Excel template with no macros. Only the yellow cells can be edited, the Guide tab explains every step, and it prints on A4. Your contract's terms come first.
