Commercial Systems Self-Assessment Scorecard

Six areas, thirty statements, one honest verdict.

Score your commercial systems across thirty statements in twenty minutes. Automatic verdicts show where money is leaking. Five statements for each of six areas: records and evidence, the payment cycle, deadlines and notices, variations and instructions, final account and commercial control, and admin and AI leverage. Score each nought to three in the yellow cells and the sheet returns a verdict for every area and an overall score out of ninety, with an EXAMPLE tab showing a completed run.

How it works

Thirty statements, scored as things are

Nought means never true, three means true on every job, and the honest answer is the useful one: the score is for you, not for anyone else. Twenty minutes covers the lot.

Read the result by area, not by total

Each area subtotals out of fifteen and carries its own verdict, because one exposed area on a live contract matters more than a respectable overall average.

Start with the statements scored nought

Each one is a specific, fixable gap, and the lowest-scoring area names the place to start. The sheet mirrors the shape of the paid review, so it doubles as that service's first step.

An Excel template with no macros. Only the yellow cells can be edited, the Guide tab explains every step, and it prints on A4. Your contract's terms come first.
