I want the discipline without hiring for it
The routine kept running, month after month, without adding headcount.
What's happening?
The want is narrow and reasonable: registers current, reports out on time, dates watched, the commercial routine simply kept running. What it does not justify is a hire, because the workload is a few disciplined days a month, not a desk. And the free alternatives have already been tried: doing it when there is time produced the current situation, and adding it to someone's job description made it their second job, with the survival rate second jobs get.
This is what a retainer is for: the routine run from outside, on a fixed monthly rhythm, scaled to the number of jobs actually running, with the same person turning up to it each month so the knowledge accumulates instead of resetting. The discipline becomes something the business buys by the month, sized to what it needs, rather than a role it has to create.
The solution
The routine run for you, month after month.
